CineVegas, Las Vegas — Luke Eberl brings his first feature Choose Connor to Sin City to make its world premiere at CineVegas. The political thriller follows a 15 year-old overachiever who gets a taste of what politics is really all about.

Owen Norris, a book wise middle school student, dreams of being a politician. And when he impresses Congressman Connor at his graduation ceremony, it seems Owen is well on his way. Connor quickly takes an interest in Owen and decides to offer him an opportunity to work as his youth campaign spokesman. Owen immediately accepts the offer and begins his journey into the seedy world of politics. With a new best friend Caleb (Connor’s nephew), parties, newspaper ads and television commercials, the politician’s life seems too good to be true. But when a mysterious package shows up at Owen’s house, he begins to realize the disturbing truth about what Congressman Connor is all about.

Choose Connor is an impressive first feature for a new director. The story is well written and backed up with a great cast (Steven Weber, Alex D. Linx & Escher Holloway) who work really well together. Although there’s no release date yet, you’ll be sure to see this film popping up at more festivals throughout the year.
